Kasukabe Underground Reservoir

Created to protect Tokyo against floods, the Kasukabe reservoir can be visited in Saitama, north of Ueno (booking is necessary, here). From Asaksusa, take those trains, it will take around 50mns.

From Minami-Sakurai station, I walked there in 15mn (follow the map here) but a bus can also take you in few minutes and 200Yen.

Upon arriving the building, go to the 2nd floor to receive your pass. Then, visit the small exhibition while waiting for the tour to begin.

After a short presentation, you will be lead to the “reservoir”, where you will have 20mns to be in awe / take pictures
